Quick update from Claire

This blog hasn't really taken off yet. I was kinda hoping other people would blog about the interesting things they're up to, but I haven't really done that either, so I guess I can't hold it against 'em. Instead I'll just tell you all what everyone's been doing from my perpsective.

Hannah Mc has been doing a ton of gardening and yard work, so the crazy crazy crazies of the plant life are actually a little less terrifying now.

Audrey's been really into foraging and local food. She's been making interesting dishes out of wild plants.

Montana's just finished her semester.

Hannah Moore's been doing some delivery driving!

And me? I've been dealing with my bike, working every day, and art and stuff. I'm a little stressed, haha! So instead of working on art, I'm procrastinating by writing this update. Whoops!

This is irrelevant but every blog needs loki on it right?
Also, summer's coming. I, for one, am not looking forward to the weather.

An Ode to Stickyweeds everywhere

You have bewitched me, body and soul.
Against my better judgement, blah blah blah blah

No, but, for serious.
I have a lot of respect for you. I know for a fact that the odds are generally stacked against you: low sunlight, fluctuating temperatures, and hard, clayey soil. You come from a family of plants that are all extremely hardy, if rude and unnattractive. And yet you seem to have attained an almost incomprehensible level of cute. No, seriously, I consider myself one pretty snooty, “cultured” well-educated aristocrat species-savvy gardner, yet you somehow manage to team up your complex compound leaf arrangement with your nearly tolerable flowerlets to sneak those cutesy green stickypuffs past the radar long enough for them to mature into the nasty little hatebombs of intractable, sock-destroying, garden bed ruination that they truly are.

And so’s your mum.
